A licensed private investigator, Mr. Keller brings over 30 years of experience in law enforcement and investigations. Mr. Keller is a respected leader in the profession and is highly regarded for his thorough, fair, and objective approach to investigations.
Mr. Keller began his career as a community service officer with the Sacramento Police Department in 1985 and honorably served the department for over 29 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant. During his tenure, he served in every division: Office of Operations, Office of Investigations, Office of Specialized Services and Office of the Chief. This broad experience has provided him with in-depth knowledge of both field and administrative operations.
During his 10 years in major crimes, Mr. Keller investigated complex cases involving homicides, kidnappings, and officer-involved shootings. As lead detective, Mr. Keller played an integral role in the investigation that led to the arrest and conviction (2005) of one of Sacramento's most wanted homicide fugitives. Under Mr. Keller's leadership, the Fugitive Task Force apprehended over two hundred violent criminals. In addition, he has provided expert testimony in multiple criminal cases.
Mr. Keller is an expert polygraph examiner and has conducted/reviewed over 2,000 pre-employment and criminal polygraph examinations during his career. Mr. Keller graduated from the Backster School of Lie Detection (2007) and is a member of the American Association of Police Polygraphists (AAPP), Certified Examiner.
